EBSA to host compliance assistance webcast on EFAST2 filing system

The U.S. Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) is sponsoring a free webcast for filers of the Form 5500 annual report for employee benefit plans. The webcast, "Going Forward, Year Two of Electronic Filing with EFAST2 - A Compliance Assistance Webcast" will be held on April 27 from 1:00 – 2:30 PM EDT.

This is the second year of electronic filing of the Form 5500 using the EFAST2 system. The webcast will provide information on changes to the system that filers should be aware of while preparing to file for 2010 and will address what has changed since the launch of EFAST2 through today. The webcast will also discuss filer experiences, what to expect when filing the 2010 Form 5500 and considerations for the 2011 Form 5500 filing. Finally, the webcast will provide an update on the Delinquent Filer Voluntary Compliance Program.

To help plan sponsors and plan service providers become familiar with the EFAST2 system, EBSA has been offering webcasts and other educational outreach over the past two years. This is the sixth webcast in the series.
