Washington - The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) today published information to help employers, workers and their families understand the COBRA stimulus provisions under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

The Act provides for a 65% reduction in COBRA premiums for certain individuals eligible for assistance of up to nine months. For information on the department’s responsibilities relating to the COBRA provisions, go to www.dol.gov/cobra. Visitors may receive updates by subscribing to the dedicated web page.

The Internal Revenue also has a web page with additional information on the subsidy.
