Perez celebrated a broad coalition of construction employers and associations that have collectively pledged to hire 100,000 veterans over the next five years.

VETS News Release: $900,000 in Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program grants announced by US Labor Department [02/03/2014]

WASHINGTON — U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez today announced the awarding of two grants totaling $900,000 to fund services provided by Veterans' Employment and Training Service. Grants of $450,000 each were awarded to Advocates for Human Potential Inc. in Sudbury, Mass., and the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans in Washington, D.C. The grants are being awarded through the department's Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program.

WASHINGTON — The Department of Labor's Veterans' Employment and Training Service today announced the award of 22 grants, totaling more than $5 million, to provide about 1,900 homeless female veterans and veterans with families with job training to help them succeed in civilian careers.
