To notify the States of the availability of a new publication -- "Workplace Literacy and the Nation's Unemployed Workers." The report was prepared by ETA staff based on a survey done by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), of Princeton, New Jersey.

1. To announce a grant award to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry for a technical assistance (TA) program to aid SESAs in the design and implementation of Unemployment Insurance PI studies and

To notify the States of the availability of a new publication -- "Employment and Training for America`s Homeless: Report on the Job Training for the Homeless Demonstration Program." The report details the results of an evaluation study of the Job Training for the Homeless Demonstration Program (JTHDP) conducted pursuant to Section 736 of the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act. It was written under the direction of the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) by James Bell Associates, Inc., of Arlington, Va.

To forward the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of State Employment Security Agency (SESA) Federal Program Coordinators.

To notify the States of the availability of a new publication -- Study of the Implementation of EDWAA: Report on the Survey of Substate Areas. The report details results of an evaluation study conducted for the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) by Social Policy Research Associates, of Menlo Park, California.

To provide new annual salary rates for Federal Civilian employees to assist State Employment Security Agency (SESA) personnel in completing UCFE Form ES-935, Claimant Statement of Federal Civilian Service.

To transmit proposed Planning Instructions to assist States in preparing Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) Title III State Plans for Program Year (PY) 1994, which begins July 1, 1994, and PY 1995, which begins July 1, 1995.

To transmit AWBA for major disasters that occur during the second quarter of FY 1991 (January 1 thru March 31, 1991).

To alert States, Service Delivery Areas (SDAs) and Substate Areas (SSAs) of the transmittal of Volume I, Performance Standards 101, of a Series of performance standards manuals.
