About the Study
In 2024, the Department of Labor (DOL) Chief Evaluation Office (CEO) partnered with Employment and Training Administrative (ETA) Office of Apprenticeship (OA) to fund contractor Manhattan Strategy Group through the Evaluation Technical Support Portfolio to identify independent subject matter experts to conduct the Summer of Apprenticeship White Paper Series. The expert perspectives papers aim to provide insights about emerging apprenticeship topics by synthesizing information both from the literature and the expert’s professional experience. These topics were identified through conversations between the Chief Evaluation Office and the Office of Apprenticeship within the Employment and Training Administration.
This Department of Labor-funded series was a result of an investment to synthesize knowledge on apprenticeship topics which have a nascent evidence base. It contributes to the labor evidence-base to inform Apprenticeship, and Employment and Training programs and policies and addresses Departmental strategic goals and priorities.
