To announce the release of updates made to the CareerOneStop suite of tools, including the mySkills myFuture transferability of skills job seeker assistance tool and the Worker ReEmployment portal.

To publicize the release of a new electronic tool (E-Tool), My Next Move, an easy-to-use Web-based resource that offers comprehensive career information and links to job resources across the country.

To inform the public workforce system about the career transition pilot demonstration project available for veterans, ages 20-24, at select Job Corps centers and to encourage eligible veterans to access training opportunities at these sites. In the one-year demonstration project sponsored by the Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Office of Job Corps (OJC); and the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS), veterans receive training with an opportunity to earn a credential or certificate. Project participants receive a stipend, housing, meals, assistance with employment and post-employment support. This project is an important resource for veterans transitioning from military service, who may have barriers to employment such as being at risk of homelessness, or lacking postsecondary credentials, and other young veterans who need additional education and training.

To provide information on revised procedures for the submission and review of National Emergency Grant (NEG) applications. These revised procedures are effective immediately.

To inform State Workforce Agencies (SWA) of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval of the extension, without any changes, of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) reporting, administrative, and processing forms under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA). These forms were processed under OMB Control number 1205-0371.
