DIRECTIVE UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE PROGRAM LETTER NO. 27-90 TO ALL STATE EMPLOYMENT SECURITY AGENCIES FROM DONALD J. KULICK Administrator for Regional Management SUBJECT Annual Conference of the National Association of Unemployment Insurance Appellate Boards in Madison Wisconsin 1. Purpose. To provide information on the Annual Conference of the National Association of Unemployment Insurance Appellate Boards NAUIAB in Madison Wisconsin from June 24 through June 28 1990. 2. Agenda. A full agenda of discussion topics is scheduled in addition to the Association s business meeting A copy of the agenda is included in the attachment. 3. Participants. This conference will be of interest to unemployment insurance appellate boards and commission members chief hearing officers responsible for lower authority appellate adjudications and the chief counsel and chief executive officers of the various higher authority boards and commissions. 4. Conference Particulars and Inquiries . Travel and per diem coats for State Employment Security Agency SESA participants will have to be paid from available State FY 90 allocations other funds from ETA are not available for this purpose. Details about the conference site costs and contact persons for additional information are included in the attached announcement from the Association. 5. Action Required. SESA Administrators are requested to provide this information to the appropriate SESA personnel and appellate board members. 6. Inquiries. Direct inquiries to your Regional Office. 7. Attachment. Mark your calendar now and plan to come to Madison Wisconsin to attend. A tentative agenda is enclosed along with the convention registration form the hotel registration form and a membership application. The program has a number of topics of current U.I. interest plus caucus and workshop opportunities geared to individual members particular needs. Accommodations are at the Edgewater Hotel on the shores of Lake Mendota in downtown Madison. Reservations should be made by June 1. The hotel has agreed to extend the convention rates before and after the convention based on the availability of rooms. We will begin on Sunday with a get-acquainted reception and party on the Edgewater pier if the weather permits. There will be an outing on Tuesday to view the fantastic collections at The House on the Rock in Spring Green followed by a dinner in a scenic setting overlooking the Wisconsin River. The hotel does not have recreational facilities but there are tennis swimming bicycling sailing golf and other activities available nearby. A large selection of- TBBtaur3Tit3 aTid shops are within easy walking distance as is the University of Wisconsin campus.
