Alliance description: The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Lubbock Area Office and Fehr’s Metal Building Construction LLC signed an alliance on May 9 to promote a greater understanding of the workplace safety and health rights and responsibilities of both workers and employers. The alliance’s goal is to help improve safety by identifying areas of emphasis for continued awareness, outreach and communication activities. It will concentrate on the Construction Focus Four hazards, a training program that puts emphasis on falls; caught-in or in-between; struck-by and electrocution hazards.

Duration: The alliance is for a two-year term.

Quote: “We are pleased to work together with Fehr’s Metal Building Construction to prevent those hazards, such as falls, that most commonly found in the construction industry,” said Elizabeth Linda Routh, OSHA’s area director in Lubbock.
