To inform State Workforce Agencies (SWAs), State Monitor Advocates (SMAs), and Regional Monitor Advocates (RMAs) of the 2016 "Monitor Advocate National Training" sponsored by the Employment and Training Administration (ETA). The training will be held at the Sheraton Tampa East Hotel in Tampa, Florida from July 19-21, 2016. (See attachment for meeting agenda.)

To announce the release and availability of a final report, Veterans' Licensing and Certification Demonstration - A Summary of State Experiences, Preliminary Findings, and Cost Estimates: Final Report; September 2015; and to provide an overview of a framework to help states accelerate licensing and certification into civilian occupations by veterans preliminary findings and relevant cost estimates.

To ensure states are aware of the Schedule of Remuneration for the UCX program that reflects the military pay increase effective January 1, 2022.

To increase awareness about the free resources available through the Employment and Training Administration's (ETA) Toll Free Help Line (TFHL) 1-877-US2 JOBS (1-877-872-5627), and to encourage the increased usage by American Job Centers and state and local governments. The TFHL resource is intended to give the public and the workforce development community universal access to employment and training information, programs and services. The service is available in over 140 languages and provides ease of access to a wide range of DOL specific programs and resources.

To provide local workforce boards, American Job Centers (AJCs), workforce development partners, and grantees with information on supporting community violence intervention (CVI) strategies.

To provide information about services available from Centers for Independent Living (CIL) and American Job Centers (AJC), as well as strengthen opportunities for collaboration between CILs and AJCs that can improve employment outcomes for job seekers with disabilities.

This Change 1 replaces and makes corrections to the previously issued Training and Employment Notice 3-16 to inform workforce system agencies about the free resources available through the Employment and Training Administration's (ETA) Toll Free Help Line (TFHL) 1-877-US2 JOBS (1-877-872-5627; TTY 1-877-889-5627), and to encourage the increased usage by American Job Centers and state and local governments.

The purpose of this Training and Employment Notice is to share broadly materials developed by the Department of Labor regarding compliance with the Final Rule entitled, Implementing Executive Order 13559: Fundamental Principles and Policymaking Criteria for Partnerships with Faith-based and Other Neighborhood Organizations.
