Purpose. To modif y dates of the 2024 SIDES Exchanging Knowledge About the Exchanges Inf ormational Webinar Series announced in Training and Employment Notice TEN No. 25-23. The series will take place f rom April 11 2024 through May 2 2024. 2. Action Requested. The Employment and Training Administration ETA requests State Administrators to share with appropriate staf f this TEN noting the changes in the schedule and encourage participation in the Exchanging Knowledge About the Exchanges Inf ormational Webinar Series. 3. Summary and Background. a. Summary This TEN announces the recent modif ication of the dates f or the 2024 SIDES webinar series Exchanging Knowledge About the Exchanges. This now f our-part series is designed to inf orm state workf orce agencies SWAs about the implementation of each SIDES exchange and provide staf f a demonstration of the internal process of the E-Response f or each exchange. b. Background The National Association of State Workf orce Agencies NASWA a national organization of state administrators of the publicly f unded state workf orce system operates SIDES on behalf of the states. SIDES is a web -based system that allows the electronic transmission of UI claims inf ormation between UI agencies and employers. As noted most recently in Unemployment Insurance Program Letter UIPL No. 17- 22 SWAs should view SIDES as a critical part of their UI integrity ef f orts and should connect to and build SIDES into their Integrity Action Plan . The webinar series strengthens this ef f ort. 4. Webinar Series Details. This webinar series will allow SWAs to obtain an insider perspective of how other states implement a specif ic exchange how to integrate the 2 exchanges into their state sof tware and will share strategies and lessons learned f rom the process. In addition SWAs will view a demonstration of the exchange f rom an E -Response employer perspective. The series is open to all relevant SWA staf f such as but not limited to UI benef its and tax managers adjudication and benef it payment control staf f inf ormation technology IT staf f including business analysts project managers sof tware providers system analysts programmers help desk team members and SIDES developers and liaisons . The series consists of f our 30 -minute weekly sessions which begin on April 11 2024 and end on May 2 2024. At the end of each presentation time will be allotted f or questions and answers and a survey will be distributed. NASWA will host the webinar series on the Zoom meeting platf orm.
