To announce the release and availability of the Comparison of State Unemployment Insurance Laws 2019. 2. Action Requested. The Employment and Training Administration ETA requests the StateWorkforce Agencies make sure all appropriate staff are aware of the release of this publication and are aware of where to locate it on the ETA website. 3. Summary and Background.a.Summary Each year the U.S. Department of Labor publishes a new edition of the Comparison of State Unemployment Insurance Laws to reflect changes to state laws and areas of interest. b. Background The 2019 edition is final. Copies of the Comparison of State Unemployment Insurance Laws are mailed to the administrator of each state workforce agency. An electronic version can be found on the Office of Unemployment Insurance Web site at https oui.doleta.gov unemploy statelaws.asp. A limited number of additional print copies are also available upon request. 4. Content. This publication provides in-depth information on key aspects of state unemployment insurance programs such as coverage financing monetary entitlement extensions and special programs nonmonetary eligibility overpayments and appeals. It also provides an overview of the temporary disability insurance programs operated in six states. 5. Inquiries.
