Purpose . To provide clarification concerning Attachment 2 of Training and Employment Guidance Letter TEGL No. 8-09 Guidance on Section 163 of the Continuing Resolution Regarding the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now ACORN . 2. Reference . TEGL No. 8-09 Guidance on Section 163 of the Continuing Resolution Regarding the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now ACORN Section 163 of the Continuing Appropriations Resolution 2010 Division B of Public Law No. 111-68 Memorandum for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies M-10-02 Guidance on section 163 of the Continuing Resolution regarding the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now ACORN 3. Background . On October 19 2009 the Employment and Training Administration issued TEGL No. 8-09. Attachment 2 of that TEGL is entitled Listing of Organizational Names for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now ACORN and Affiliates Subsidiaries and Allied Organizations. 4. Clarification . In response to inquiries we have received concerning the identity of ACORN affiliates and subsidiaries that are subject to the restrictions of the Continuing Resolution there is no official Congressional or other U.S. government list of such entities. Attachment 2 of TEGL No. 8-09 was an unofficial list compiled by minority staff of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and is not authoritative or definitive in any way. 5. Inquiries . Direct questions to the Federal Project Officer designated in the grant or contract agreement.
