U.S. Department of Labor Announces James J. Fitzpatrick As Regional Representative for Philadelphia Office

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor today announced that James J. Fitzpatrick has been named Regional Representative for its Philadelphia Regional Office.

“The U.S. Department of Labor is committed to working with state and local governments and organizations to create more opportunities for America’s workers,” U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor Patrick Pizzella said. “Regional Representatives ensure that our partnerships with communities throughout the region remain strong and productive while we pursue policies that encourage economic growth.”

An attorney and graduate of Lehigh University and Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, Fitzpatrick most recently worked at Elliott Greenleaf, P.C., where his practice focused on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on employment law and business disputes. He was previously the Southeast Pennsylvania Regional Manager for U.S. Senator Pat Toomey and a senior campaign aide to the Senator. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Anthony J. Scirica in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Fitzpatrick currently serves as a Captain and Judge Advocate in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

The mission of the Department of Labor is to foster, promote, and protect the welfare of the wage earners, job seekers, and retirees of the United States; improve working conditions; advance opportunities for profitable employment; and assure work-related benefits and rights.
