U.S. Department of Labor to host fifth webcast on 2009 Form 5500 and electronic filing requirements

Washington – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) will host a free webcast June 3 to answer questions from employers, plan administrators and service providers about the Form 5500, EFAST2 and the new e-signature options for electronic filing requirements that began with the 2009 plan year.

The Department of Labor has offered webcasts and other educational outreach since 2009. This is the fifth webcast in this series. This webcast will provide tips and answers to some of the most frequently asked questions the Department has received from parties involved in filing as they begin to use the EFAST2 system and prepare the 2009 Form 5500.

In addition, EBSA staff will answer questions received from the public and provide practical tips for using the new ERISA Filing Acceptance System – known as EFAST2. EFAST2 receives only electronic filing submissions.

This event is open to news media.
