President Richard M. Nixon signed the legislation creating the Occupational Safety and Health Act, which created OSHA.

Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employee Benefits Security Phyllis C. Borzi addresses the ERISA Advisory Council during its 161st meeting. Deputy Assistant Secretary Michael Davis, to Borzi's right, and Director of the Employee Benefits Security Administration's Office of Regulations and Interpretations Joe Canary joined her at the meeting.
