Navy veteran Glen Williams turned to the department's VETS for assistance with his resume and how to reply to job leads. Williams secured a position as a Disability and Military Outreach Community Recruiter in February 2011 connecting veterans and individuals with disabilities with job opportunities at Walgreens throughout the nation.
Ken Darrah, with support from the Trade Adjustment Assistance program, enrolled in Patrick Henry Community College, Martinsville, Va., to study industrial electronics technology. He graduated summa cum laude with an Associates degree and landed a job as a maintenance manager at a local company.
