To notify the workforce system of jobs available on Guam and that the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) has updated the Contractor Recruitment Standards (CRS) that guide the recruitment efforts of selected contractors performing construction work related to the Guam military base realignment. These standards are mandated by the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2010 (Public Law 111–84, enacted October 28, 2009).

To provide an updated version of the Department of Labor’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Section 188 Disability Reference Guide to American Job Center (AJC) programs. The guide, now available at https://www.dol.gov/oasam/programs/crc/188Guide.htm, provides promising practices that correlate with specific nondiscrimination and equal opportunity requirements in Section 188 of WIOA and its implementing regulations.

To announce the Employment and Training Administration's (ETA's) creation of two new UI State Performance Excellence Awards to recognize states for program integrity performance and communicate a change to the performance evaluation time period for all future awards.

To announce the National Rapid Response Initiative, a comprehensive, collaborative effort to promote consistent, high quality, timely and innovative responses to economic transition across the country. Through this Initiative, the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) will collaborate with state and local Rapid Response practitioners and partners to assess the current system capacity, identify areas for improvement, and provide training and technical assistance to support the system in addressing the identified needs.

To inform State Workforce Agencies (SWAs) how to obtain updated contact information for Federal agencies requesting detailed Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employees (UCFE) or Unemployment Compensation for Ex-Servicemembers (UCX) benefit payment data, which support the United States Department of Labor’s (Department) quarterly unemployment compensation billing statements.

To announce upcoming activities and events to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the unemployment insurance (UI) program, and to announce the UI Hall of Fame and UI Innovation Awards.
