U.S. Department of Labor. America 250: Celebrating the American Worker.

This Labor Day, the U.S. Department of Labor is excited to kick off our official celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
For two and a half centuries, American workers have built this country into a shining symbol of freedom and opportunity. On Labor Day, we pause to recognize the achievements, contributions, and sacrifices of the hardworking men and women who have carried on the American Dream for future generations.

This year’s holiday brings even more significance, marking a milestone in our ongoing commitment to securing a better future for all workers. Under the leadership of President Trump, the Labor Department is taking steps to accomplish this mission by putting the American Worker First. It’s not just a slogan – it’s our promise to deliver results for the hardworking men and women of our great nation.
