VETS logoState Workforce Agencies (SWAs) nationwide operate American Job Centers (AJCs) that provide employment and workforce information services in local communities. The Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) tracks three participant outcome measures for the JVSG program.

  • Employment Rate - 2nd Quarter After Exit - the percentage of participants who are in unsubsidized employment during the second quarter after exit from the program.
  • Employment Rate - 4th Quarter After Exit - the percentage of participants who are in unsubsidized employment during the fourth quarter after exit from the program.
  • Median Earnings - 2nd Quarter After Exit - the median earnings of participants who are in unsubsidized employment during the second quarter after exit from the program.

VETS is currently gathering the required data for the statistical adjustment model in order to align JVSG performance goal negotiations with those outlined in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). In the interim, a goal-setting process has been established to collect data until targets can be negotiated.

In Program Year (PY) 2021, JVSG program exiters had an employment rate of 53.5 percent, median earnings of $7,998 in the second quarter after exit, and an employment rate of 51.9 percent in the fourth quarter after exit.
