Norris T. Tyler

Mr. Tyler has over 30 years of experience with the Department of Labor's, Employment and Training Administration, and has served in several key capacities for the Department's Workforce Development System throughout his career. Currently, he oversees the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) for Workers Program that provides benefits and services for workers displaced due to foreign trade impacts.

He became a Senior Executive Service member in 2016 (Administrator) and has overseen the implementation of the 2009, 2011, and recent 2015 TAA Reauthorization Acts, which has expanded the group eligibility provisions, benefits, and services of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended. He has committed more than half his life to public service at the Department and enjoys providing career development opportunities for his staff and ensuring displaced workers across the nation obtain the benefits and services to which they are eligible.
