ETA Seeks Volunteers to Participate in Disability and Employment eLearning Task Force; Invites Expression of Interest by August 23

The Employment and Training Administration is seeking 20-30 volunteers from a mix of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)-funded programs, partners, and states to join a task force to shape the development of online training tools for workforce development staff.

These developed eLearning tools will be posted on the WorkforceGPS Disability and Employment website. The training tools will be used to support American Job Centers in providing more effective services to individuals with disabilities.

Members of the new task force will share their ideas and insights to help develop the content in the eLearning training modules. ETA aims to recruit diverse thought leaders for this task force. To learn more, please visit the following:

August 19 Webinar: Using the Clearinghouse for Labor Evaluation and Research (CLEAR) with (1) Focus on Functionalities and (2) Obtaining Evidence Relevant to States' Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA)

An August 19 webinar will re-introduce the Department of Labor's Clearinghouse for Labor Evaluation and Research (CLEAR) and provide an overview of how CLEAR supports Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) programs. The presentation includes a demonstration of the CLEAR website functionalities and explains how CLEAR may be used to find evidence relevant to states’ Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) programs.

The webinar will provide an overview of CLEAR’s purpose and content—highlighting information that is most relevant and beneficial to RESEA programs and evaluations. Relevant and beneficial information presented will include details about CLEAR’s capabilities and describe how the CLEAR functions help users to identify studies by job search assistance, reemployment, and other systematically reviewed topics. During this session, the presenters will also describe CLEAR’s evidence rating criteria for causal studies and demonstrate how to search for studies that may provide evidence to support RESEA programs and evaluations. Attendees will learn to use CLEAR to identify evidence-based resources that support their RESEA program activities and evaluations that demonstrate impacts.
