2022 INA Funding Opportunity Announcement and Application Requirements Webinar

On Monday, March 21, 2022 funding opportunity was posted to grants.gov.  The Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA-ETA-22-05) solicits applications for the Indian and Native American Employment and Training Program authorized under Section 166 of WIOA.  The purpose of this program is to support the employment and training activities for Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian individuals. The Division of Indian and Native American Programs (DINAP) will host two Prospective Applicant Webinars on April 4 and April 5, 2022.  Please see details below.  While a review of this webinar is strongly encouraged to support successful grant applications, it is not mandatory.

Announcement: Tribal Consultation on WIOA Effectiveness in Serving Employers (ESE) Rulemaking

The Department of Labor (Department) will host a formal Tribal Consultation on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM EST, via a publicly-accessible webinar on the Workforce GPS.  Register at this link.

Background - The Department is engaging in a rulemaking to propose the definition of the ESE indicator into the regulations implementing the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

WIOA Section 166 establishes performance accountability indicators and performance reporting requirements to assess the effectiveness of grantees in achieving positive outcomes for individuals served by the workforce development system.  Under WIOA, there are six primary indicators of performance.  Five of the six indicators are currently defined in regulations.
