Chief Innovation Officer - Taylor Stockton

Taylor Stockton currently serves as the Chief Innovation Officer, leading the Department of Labor’s exploration of how AI and other emerging technologies impact the labor market and the overall experience of the American worker, as well as what new innovations can support workers in achieving the American Dream.

Stockton has spent his career at the intersection of education, the future of work, and technological progress. He was most recently the Chief Operating Officer of a workforce development technology company, partnering with state workforce agencies and local workforce boards around the country to harness AI-powered solutions to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers. Concurrently, Stockton was the Co-Founder of Pathway Ventures, a seed stage venture capital fund investing in the human side of the future of work, which the firm defined as startups driving new models of economic mobility. Previously, Stockton was the Chief of Staff of an education startup in South Africa that harnessed the power of technology in K-12 education to build the innovators and leaders of the 21st century economy.

Stockton earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Boston College and his master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School.
