Jeremiah Workman, a native of Richwood, Ohio, is a decorated Marine Corps combat veteran, author, and lifelong advocate for the well-being of America's service members and their families. With over two decades of military and organizational leadership experience, he has dedicated his career to supporting the successful transition of veterans into civilian life.

During his distinguished service in the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Workman was awarded the Navy Cross, Purple Heart, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon for valorous actions during Operation Phantom Fury in Iraq. His heroism and commitment to service have earned him induction into the Ohio Military Hall of Fame and a dedicated exhibit at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

Following his time in uniform, Mr. Workman has served in leadership roles across government, nonprofit, and private sectors. At the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, he worked directly with transitioning service members as a Military Services Coordinator. He was a candidate for Ohio Lieutenant Governor and his work with veteran-focused initiatives at organizations like the Wounded Warrior Regiment has further demonstrated his passion for empowering veterans through employment, care access, and reintegration programs.

He is the author of Shadow of the Sword (Random House, 2009), a powerful memoir that confronts the emotional and psychological costs of war and the path to recovery.

Today, Mr. Workman lives in Marion County, Ohio, with his wife Jessica and their two children. He serves as the Post Commander of the local V.F.W. and is an active community leader. In his free time, he enjoys attending his children's sporting events and giving back to fellow veterans.

Guided by a deep sense of duty, Mr. Workman is committed to "giving back to those that have given so much—to ensure that those who served and their families have the tools and support they need to be successful post service."
