Notice of Termination of Investigation

Pursuant to Section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, an
investigation was initiated on March 25, 2002, in response to a
worker petition which was filed on behalf of workers at Crane
Merchandising, Bridgeton, Missouri.
After contacting the subject firm, it was revealed that the
name on the original petition was that of an employee, not a
company official or a union representation. Therefore, the
petition is invalid. The Statute requires three worker signatures
to initiate a petition. Consequently, further investigation in
this case would serve no purpose, and the investigation has been
terminated.

Signed in Washington, D. C. this 28th day of March 2002.
