Pursuant to Section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, an investi-gation was initiated on September 4, 2001 in response to a worker petition, which was filed on August 14, 2001, on behalf of workers at American Smelting and Refinery Company (ASARCO), El Paso, Texas.
The petitioning group of workers is subject to an ongoing petition investigation, GRUPO Mexico Asarco, Inc., El Paso, Texas (TA-W-39,870). Consequently, further investigation in this case would serve no purpose, and the investigation has been terminated.
