Article describing a one-day sensitization workshop for municipal authorities and civil society organizations in Mauritania.  This workshop focused on instructing attendees about Law No. 031-2015 criminalizing slavery and punishing slavery practices.  The workshop was held on March 6, 2017 in the city of Kifa, and was part of the larger framework of the commemoration of the National Day to Combat Practices Resulting from the Remnants of Slavery.
