Small Business Round-table Partnering with NAWB to Meet Workforce Needs of Small Businesses
An advisory from NAWB
The National Association of State Workforce Boards (NAWB) understands the important role small businesses play in their community. NAWB CEO Ron Painter and John Stanford, Co-Executive Director of the Small Business Round-table, spoke at The Forum about the new partnership between small business organizations and NAWB.
The SBR is dedicated to advancing policy, securing access, and promoting inclusion to benefit the businesses at the heart of the American economy.
The SBR and NAWB will be partnering in 3 ways:
- SBR will be jointly creating a survey of workforce boards to discover how WDBs are already successfully partnering with small businesses.
- A joint task force between NAWB and the SBR will meet regularly to talk about these issues and keep entrepreneurship at the fore. NAWB Vice Chair Jennifer Harris will co-chair the task force.
- SBR will be sending out a toolkit, created by NAWB and SBR, to small businesses through their coalition to show small businesses how to utilize the services of their local workforce boards.
