Women's History Month and the Labor Movement's Role in Narrowing the Gender Pay Gap

Yesterday, the Director of the Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) posted a blog on the Department of Labor’s website.  In the blog, Director Jeffrey Freund discusses Women's History Month and gender pay gaps.  The blog describes the progress that has been made toward realizing the goal of full gender equality in American workplaces and the role unions have played in narrowing the wage gap between men and women, but also recognizes the work that is still needed to achieve that goal. To read this important message, as well as other posts on issues critical to the state of today’s labor movement, please visit the From the Director’s Desk section of the OLMS website.
