This report is the outcome of collaborative effort to accurately measure and report on the issue of child labor and hazardous child labor in the cocoa growing areas of Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. The first objective of this study is to assess and measure changes in the prevalence of working children, children in child labor, and children in hazardous work in the cocoa growing areas of Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana between 2008/09 and 2018/19. The second objective of the study is to assess interventions implemented between 2008/09 and 2018/19. The final objective of this project is to provide accurate point estimates of child labor and hazardous child labor in the cocoa producing areas of Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana for 2018/19.
