In 1996, the U.S. Department of Labor and the European Commission signed a  Memorandum of Understanding, establishing the United States – European Union Working Group on Employment and Labor-Related Issues.  Since then, the Working Group held various conferences, symposiums, roundtable discussions, and meetings on topics of mutual interest.  The Working Group continues to provide opportunities for participants to learn from their colleagues’ experiences across the Atlantic and to work together to develop innovative policy solutions.
