Notice: OLMS Seeks Information Collection Request Approval for OLMS Public Submission Portal
On October 19, 2026, the Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) issued a Federal Register Notice and request for comments for a new information collection request (ICR) in compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. This ICR covers the newly proposed “OLMS Public Submission Portal."
The OLMS Public Submission Portal would be an online system through which any member of the public could submit complaints, tips, questions, and inquiries concerning any aspect of the law enforced by OLMS. Specifically, the OLMS Public Submission Portal would accept submissions through the “Persuader Tip Submission, Union Officer Election Complaint or Inquiry, Embezzlement/Financial Misconduct, LM Report Inquiries, and Public Inquiry and Complaint Forms,” for review by OLMS. These forms would gather information from all respondents, including personal contact information, the nature of the issue, and any details OLMS may need to best address the matter.
As part of this request, OLMS is soliciting public comments on the proposed OLMS Public Submission Portal. OLMS invites comments on how members of the public would use the OLMS Public Submission Portal and on the associated burden estimates described in this request. OLMS will consider all written comments received by December 18, 2026, in evaluating the proposed OLMS Public Submission Portal and associated burden estimates.
