     Re: Case Number

Dear Ms. Moore:

This office has recently completed an audit of Steelworkers Local 11-105 under the Compliance Audit Program (CAP) to determine your organization's compliance with the provisions of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (LMRDA). As discussed during the exit interview with Victoria Moore on August 24, 2006, no violations of the LMRDA were disclosed in areas of financial activity included in the CAP. This does not exhaust all possible problem areas, however, since the audit conducted was limited in scope and did not include all areas of your union's operation.

The audit of Steelworkers Local 11-105 record did not reveal any recordkeeping or reporting violations. During the audit it was revealed that the former president of the local still had his name on the investment account. Also, the building corporation had you as the only signatory on the account. You stated that you will change the signatory on the investment account and add another signatory to the building corporation account as soon as possible. This will allow for a more effective checks and balances procedure for Local 11-105.

I want to extend my personal appreciation to Steelworkers Local 11-105 for the cooperation and courtesy extended during this compliance audit. I recommend that you make sure this letter and the compliance assistance materials provided to you are passed on to future officers. If we can provide any additional assistance, please do not hesitate to call.

Sincerely,

Investigator
