Karen Torre

Karen Torre serves as the Special Assistant to the Director, OLMS Office of Program Operations (OPO). The OPO is responsible for administrating the agency’s policy, regulatory, Freedom of Information Act, and compliance assistance programs. Previously, Ms. Torre served as the Chief of the Division of Interpretations and Regulations (DIR) beginning in August 2021. Prior to that she was the Chief of the OLMS Division of Statutory Programs, and she was, before that, an investigator in the OLMS Division of Enforcement. Ms. Torre joined the Office of the Solicitor of Labor in 2007, working for the Arlington Regional Office and, later, the Civil Rights and Labor-Management Division. Prior to her federal service, Ms. Torre practiced labor and employment law in North Carolina and Louisiana. Ms. Torre graduated from San Francisco State University and Georgetown University Law Center.
