Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC)
The Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) conducts annual Accountability Reviews (ARs) of the claims adjudication work performed by district office and Final Adjudication Branch staff. The function of the ARs is to allow the DEEOIC to objectively measure staff compliance with established rules and procedures in deciding claims filed under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). ARs assess different performance categories which can include the application of program procedure, quality of evidence analysis, clarity of written narratives, and accuracy of mathematical calculations. DEEOIC and the Office of Workers Compensation Program (OWCP) management use the results of the ARs to work towards continual improvement in program outcomes.
