Ambulatory Surgery Center Allowed Procedures

Effective October 10, 2026, the Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) will no longer require the SG modifier on Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) bills for dates of service on or after October 10, 2026.

Providers enrolled as an Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) (provider type 88) must submit professional bills or OWCP-1500s, however; for dates of service on or after 10/10/26, the SG modifier will no longer be recognized.
