The Department’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) develops and promotes workplace policy and practices for public and private employers. These policies and practices help employers meet their compliance obligations to increase workplace disability inclusion. ODEP supports employers through its three technical assistance centers: the Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion, Job Accommodation Network (JAN), and Partnership on Employment and Accessible Technology.

In this breakout session, you will learn about how ODEP and its three employer-focused technical assistance centers provide tools to ensure compliance. The session will include the:

  • Inclusion@Work Framework, an internationally award-winning multimedia policy tool that outlines seven core components of a disability-inclusive workplace, along with a menu of strategies for achieving them;
  • JAN Accommodation Toolkit, a self-service, role-based tool complete with training videos targeted to hiring managers, supervisors, human resource (HR) professionals, and employees successfully navigate the accommodations process; and
  • TalentWorks: Accessible eRecruiting for Employers, the online resource that helps employers, HR professionals, and information technology staff make their e-recruiting technologies accessible to all job seekers—including those with disabilities.
