Contract Medical Consultant (CMC) & Second Opinion Medical Specialists Audits

Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC)

The DEEOIC National Office or Medical Director may conduct informal audits of cases that have been referred to a Contract Medical Consultant (CMC) or to a Second Opinion Medical Specialist (SECOP). The audits measure the quality and completeness of actions taken to obtain medical opinions from CMCs that are used in the adjudication process.
