Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC)
Carlsbad, NM Outreach! – Representatives from the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation participated in two town hall meetings at the Pecos River Village Conference Center in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on February 25, 2015, to notify current and former nuclear weapons workers and their survivors about the benefits available to them under the EEOICPA. The town hall meetings were hosted by the Joint Outreach Task Group, of which DEEOIC is a member. Staff members from DEEOIC's Seattle district office and Espanola resource center were available at the town hall meetings to assist individuals with the filing of new claims under the EEOICPA and to provide claimants with status updates on their existing EEOICPA claims. The event drew 30 visitors.
