OSHA proposed penalties totaling $190,314. This is the 11th time since 2016 that OSHA has cited this company for fall hazards.

MCDAVID, FL – The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has cited L.A. Disaster Relief and Property Maintenance LLC after an employee suffered burn injuries at a McDavid, Florida, worksite. The property maintenance and land clearing company faces $94,415 in penalties.

The Brundidge, Alabama, food processor faces $164,997 in penalties.

The window and door manufacturer faces $398,545 in penalties, including the maximum amount allowed by law for the violations that can cause life-altering injury. 

GRAND ISLAND, NE – The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has cited Rivera Agri Inc. – a provider of temporary agricultural labor – for failing to protect employees working in excessive heat after a farmworker succumbed to apparent heat-related symptoms while working in a cornfield near Grand Island, Nebraska.

MONTGOMERY, AL – The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has cited Sabel Steel Service Inc. – based in Montgomery, Alabama – for exposing employees to amputation, fall, and other hazards at four of the company's facilities. The manufacturer faces $320,261 in penalties.

LAS VEGAS, NV – The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has cited the United States Postal Service (USPS) $129,336 after investigators determined the employer failed to provide proper safety measures to a Las Vegas, Nevada, mail carrier hospitalized for heat exposure.

HARPERSVILLE, AL – The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has cited Legend Directional Services LLC – based in Weatherford, Texas – for improper storage of compressed gases after an employee suffered fatal injuries in an explosion at the Harpersville Reinforcement Project in Harpersville, Alabama.

SAVANNAH, GA – The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has cited U.S. Xpress Inc. and Dollar Tree Distribution Center Inc. for exposing workers to struck-by and other hazards after a powered industrial truck fatally struck an employee at the distribution center in Savannah, Georgia. Dollar Tree Distribution Center Inc. and U.S. Xpress Inc. face penalties of $130,112 and $12,934 respectively.

BRAINTREE, MA – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has cited Northeast Framing Inc. – based in Lunenberg, Massachusetts – for exposing workers to falls and other hazards following an employee’s fatal fall at an East Boston, Massachusetts, worksite in May 2018. The company faces $311,330 in penalties, the maximum allowed by law.
