The Policy/Project Management Division (PPMD) researches and develops procurement policies to meet government-wide and Departmental requirements. The office implements, communicates, and maintains current procurement policy at DOL and provides policy interpretations.
PPMD develops short and long-term business objectives to address Departmental procurement needs. The office coordinates and oversees progress on projects, programs, and operations across the organization. PPMD also develops workforce planning requirements, succession planning strategies, and reporting metrics.
PPMD connects program offices with procurement solutions, ensuring consistent, highly customer-focused acquisition approaches. Additionally, the office provides operational oversight through procurement management reviews and contract review boards. PPMD serves as the liaison for internal and external audits of procurement functions.
