To announce the availability of a new U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics publication entitled "Getting a Job - Another Chance to Make It".

To provide specific procedural guidance to States for processing requests for certification under the Work Opportunity and Welfare-to-Work Tax Credits after these expire. This guidance covers the period July 1- September 30, 1999. If the WOTC and WtW tax credits have not been reauthorized by September 30, additional guidance will be issued.

To announce the reauthorization of the Work Opportunity and Welfare-to-Work Tax Credits under the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act of 1999 (P.L. 106-170) § 505.

To inform States of a planned study of employers use and assessment of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) and the Welfare-to-Work (WtW) Tax Credit.

To facilitate the provision of employer services to U.S. Armed Forces recruiting offices and to identify military job opportunities to job seekers.

To provide clarification to State Employment Service Agencies with regard to the processing of H-2B temporary applications for limited jobs in the landscaping industry which includes only those activities addressed in this guidance for the 2000-2001 season.

To alert State Public Employment Service Agencies that the Office of the Management and Budget (OMB) has extended the approval to use subject forms.

To provide State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) with video tapes illustrating: (1) job duties and work skills of select agricultural and livestock occupations, and (2) the agricultural prevailing survey fact finding process and employer/worker interviews.

To announce further progress as America's Job Bank (AJB) products and services assist State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) in their national leadership delivering labor exchange services to employers and job seekers.
