To provide information and to encourage action to assure that child care needs are considered when providing information and assistance to parents filing claims for unemployment insurance (UI) benefits.

To provide notice of the type of appeal available to entities receiving Federal assistance grants from the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) whose appeal rights and procedures are not established elsewhere in statutes and regulations. This action by ETA is part of a larger effort to establish standard procedures for all Department of Labor (DOL) agencies in areas of audit resolution and appeal.

To advise State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) of the establishment of the QC Training Center.

To advise State, agencies of Section 902 of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1988 and 1989, which establishes another class of aliens eligible for temaorary resident status.

To advise State employment security agencies (SESAs) of amendments to the Social Security Act (SSA) affecting the Federal-State Unemployment Compensation (UC) Program.

To transmit a copy of the above-referenced Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and provide information pertaining to the required agreements between the State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) and the Office of Child Support Enforcement (GCSE).

To advise State agencies of the provisions of the Technical and Miscellaneous Revenue Act of 1988, P.L. 100-647, which affect the Federal-State Unemployment Compensation Program.

To announce the Secretary of Labor's decision in the 1988 conformity proceedings concerning the State of Minnesota.

To transmit the revised Fedwire Deposit System (FDS) format to be used by banks when wire transferring funds from State employment security agencies' (SESAs) Clearing accounts to the UTF.

To provide State employment security agencies (SESA) with guidelines for the annual release of Unemployment Insurance (UI) Benefits Quality Control (QC) program data.
