Example in Action: ILO's Program for Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE)
The ILO’s SCORE program is a training program designed to increase the productivity of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) while promoting recognition of and respect for the ILO’s international labor standards and improving working conditions. SCORE provides “training of trainers” for government agencies, industry associations and trade unions, and other organizations, which then deliver the training program to SMEs. SCORE is currently active in emerging economies throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America, and since its inception, more than 4,800 SMEs have received SCORE training, representing a total workforce of more than 888,000 people.
