Ashley Romanias was appointed director of the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs on September 30, 2025, by Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer. She will leverage her expertise to implement President Trump’s directives and priorities.
Before her appointment at OFCCP, Romanias worked at the Department of Labor as a senior policy advisor. In that role, she focused on regulatory and policy matters related to the Employee Benefits Security Administration, the Mine Safety and Health Administration, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Prior to her work at the department, Romanias worked as a transactional attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and as an assistant director at the Federal Housing Finance Agency. She holds a J.D. from the Vanderbilt University Law School and a B.A. from the University of Virginia.
