A Pre-Situational Analysis on workplace-based training amongst employers in three counties in Kenya (Kilifi, Kitui and Busia). Conducted by the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE), in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO). The general objective of this study was to assess awareness and attitudes; interest and practices; and capacity and obstacles around work based training (WBT), including apprenticeships among employers, employers’ associations and Master Crafts-persons. The focus of this study was on WBT programs for youth aged between 16 – 24 years, with particular focus on vulnerable and marginalized youth and specifically, adolescents at or above the legal working age who are engaged in or at risk of engaging in child labor.
