Pathways to Reemployment Tools and Resources

Purpose

To announce the availability of new tools and resources for use by state Unemployment Insurance (UI) agencies and the workforce system to support reemployment of UI claimants and other jobseekers. The tools include a framework that "re-envisions" work search requirements for UI claimants to support their successful reemployment in the 21st century labor market and a My Reemployment Plan tool and implementation guide for use by jobseekers and workforce professionals providing reemployment services in American Job Centers (AJCs).

The Q&A also addresses the role of Local Workforce Development Boards (Local Boards) in reviewing provider applications for the local competition under the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA), which are required under WIOA to align with Local Plans.

The purpose of this Training and Employment Notice (TEN) is to provide the workforce system examples, best practices, partnership models, and information on how to align resources available under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to increase services to English Language Learners (ELL) with substantial cultural and language barriers to employment.
