Harnessing American Innovation
We're harnessing American innovation to connect talented Americans with disabilities to great careers. American workers with disabilities bring unmatched talent, determination, and drive to our economy. Under President Trump's leadership, our nation is creating historic opportunities in high-demand, high-growth industries. To keep this momentum going, the U.S. Department of Labor is launching the Career Track Challenge – a national competition calling on America's brightest innovators, developers, and entrepreneurs to design cutting-edge digital tools that connect job seekers directly to high-quality American jobs.
American innovation has always unlocked new frontiers for our workforce. Through this challenge, we are empowering workers with disabilities to build direct pathways into great, family-sustaining careers across every sector of the economy.

Solving with Tech Leaders
Every American who wants to work deserves a direct, streamlined path to a rewarding career.
Today, talented individuals often encounter multiple independent portals, disconnected local services, and complex requirements as they transition from school or training into the workforce. Instead of spending months trying to piece together training programs, transportation options, and job postings on their own, workers need a seamless, real-time navigator.
We are challenging innovators, including disabled Americans, to build the digital infrastructure that eliminates this friction – a smart, personalized career "GPS" that maps an individual's unique talents and goals directly to local, in-demand employment opportunities and the exact resources needed to achieve them.
Starting the Challenge
- WHO SHOULD ENTER: American tech, SI, and accessibility innovators, entrepreneurs, software developers, workforce leaders, disability leaders and service providers, data and labor market experts, higher-education innovators – and anyone interested in using technology to connect disabled Americans with good jobs. Start forming dynamic, multi-disciplinary teams today!
- THE MISSION: Design a next-generation, fully accessible digital solution powered by super intelligence and accessible technology to empower job seekers with disabilities to translate their strengths and goals into local, high-growth jobs.
- PRIZES: Approximately $2 million (delivered in multiple phases) to help turn the most promising prototypes into market-ready solutions.
- ROUND ONE OPENING: Planned for January 2027.
