
Braye Cloud is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM). In this role he oversees the day-to-day operations of the U.S. Department of Labor, including human resources, procurement, budget and finance, emergency management, civil rights and EEO, performance management, space portfolio management, employee safety and health, and physical security and national security operations. Mr. Cloud is the Department's Senior Agency Official for Privacy and the Senior Real Property Officer. He has overall leadership responsibility for policy and the provision of shared services from the Department's Office of Human Resources, the Office of Senior Procurement Executive, the Office of Field Operations, the Business Operations Center, the Departmental Budget Center, the Performance Management Center, the Civil Rights Center, the Emergency Management Center, and the Security Center.
Since joining the Labor Department in 2011, Mr. Cloud has held a wide range of roles – within OASAM's Performance Management Center and as OASAM's Administrative Officer between 2018 and 2022. Mr. Cloud served as the Director of Talent Transformation for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Director of OASAM's Office of Field Operations, where he led the consolidation and realignment of OASAM's six regional offices into a nationwide service provider of administrative and mission-support functions for the Department's 10,000+ employees outside the National Capital Region.
Mr. Cloud received his Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University and his undergraduate degree from Lyon College.
