How to Apply

The Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Services (DOL-VETS) announces the HVRP Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) annually. Search and apply for an HVRP Federal Financial Assistance award at Grants.gov.

Selected Applicants will provide HVRP services for a three-year period of performance, beginning July 1 of the year they applied.

Who Can Apply

If your organization has experience providing veteran and/or employment-related services, you may be interested in applying for this HVRP grant.

Applications for funds will be accepted from:

  • Nonprofit organizations, with or without 501(c)(3) status with the IRS
  • Faith-based Organizations
  • Federally recognized Native American governments
  • Native American organizations, other than federally recognized tribal governments
  • State, county, city, township or special district governments, including U.S. territories or Possessions
  • State and Local Workforce Development Boards established under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act
  • Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
  • Other state and local government agencies
  • Public, private and state-controlled institutions of higher education
  • Small businesses and for-profit organizations 

Applicants must have a familiarity with the area and population to be served and have the ability to administer an effective program.
